This fish was about 8 -10lb and caught on Cauvery on a mahseer trip. The ghillies called it golden carp, but I think it might be properly called a rohu ~ is this correct. We also got some fish called black carp by the ghillies upto about 10-11lb. What is the black carp also known as? We caught no mahseer over 2lb on this trip though, so these carp were good fun. |
