Has any one fished the Neera River on NH4?
There is a bridge on it when going towards Satara, about 50Km from Pune. The river goes down to Veer Dam, which was leased out for aqua culture. So I guess Neera river should have some decent Fish.

So any one has ever fished these waters? and can share the experiences?

timing and intel is the way to go... like a secret agent or cop.. you will need to cultivate local sources and informants to tell you when the place fires up ..and then it will be worth while.. local info.. in key when it comes to fishing in pune.. plus getting truthful and dependable info, is important.. otherwise what happens and what we mostly end up doing is to recce places and spots sometimes we just take our chances... lagaa to lagaa basis.. at the end of the day its the locals who catch more fish.. and rightly so.. they live around such places .. the know the how what when.. and they are not doing it for sport but to put some food on the table .. so power to them..

Hello Nirupam,

Are you absolutely sure there is nothing in that river? Please post some pictures of the place so that you get right advice.

Things to watch out while fishing in a river.

1. Spot if there is any rapids, not necessary for it to be of any class.

2. Spot some local fisherman there they will give the right information and what kind of fish they catch. This will give you general idea on what setup and bait to use.

I dont know if you have tried some spoons or spinners over there. If you need some information on spinning there are masters on the forum who will share information with you.

Good luck and tight lines.
