Gavin,

I just removed a couple of your duplicate posts.
I think you should just click once on the submit button when you post.

Hi Gavin,

Don't know about the location in Pune. But I can suggest some nice spots near Lonavala. Not Carp but surely some nice size catches.

3 Places near lonavala where you can surely hit good catches.

1st one being Tungarli Dam near lonavala. There are some very nice spots to catch here as the water levels have been sustained for years and big fish do move around here.

2nd Indrayani river near kamshet. This river gets joined from a damn and there are big fish that get washed along in the same. Kamshet has a good place as the water is not too deep and you can surely find big catches here. Patience is required though.

3rd is a place near lohagad. There is a village called Devale. You have to go here from Malavali by taking a left from the old highway at karla phata. Do go till the station and then ask any one for directions. As you reach this village you will find a nice pond. I call this promise land. Put anything and you will get a bite. The big ones are a bit tough to catch as the chilapis and other fish take the bait most of the time. My personal Fav.

Do let me know if you wish to tag along or want to know any other locations.

Regards,

Amod.

Hi Amod,
I am from Pune and very new to fishing. Would like to learn more. Would you please let me know if you are planning a fishing trip in the near future. Would like to tag along and learn as much as possible.
Went fishing a few times to places around pune but without any luck. Guess I am lacking proper knowledge.

Do let me know.
Majaz

Let's meet nd go fishing. Someone propose a Sunday and everyone can dedicate the day to meeting in the morning and setting out to do some fishing through the day. spots ahead of Lohegaon are decent for Tilapia and sometimes butter catfish / rohu / kanus / kolus. If mahseer project survived then you might be lucky enough to hook into a mahseer.

Regards,
Omesh
