Thanks Guys for the compliments. :-)

@ chandimaabu, the reel is a Daiwa SL50SH, retails for about R950.00 in South Africa.

Take care and happy fishing

Bhim (Red Eye)

I really really like the Tilapia! most of the ones here are more silverish or blackish! I believe its of South African origin! and was brought here years ago! Must say the Tilapia your son is holding is something I have not seen in Pune yet! despite the fact that most of what I catch on the river banks here are Tilapia!

Beautiful pics! considering Bull shark is the most aggressive shark on the planet! and considering he caught that 110kg guy using rod and reel! Its awesome! The natal Stumpnose has very prominent features.... A question here? do any of these fish come to indian waters like the garrick or the stumpnose? or maybe any other species!?

garrick is an s.a. name .. for the fish in question.. it is a member of the trevally species.. may be found in our waters.. i haven't seen it though.. stumpnose is nothing but bream.. which we do get in our waters.. colouration not as silvery at times. depending on the kind of bream and where it was caught.
