Seems like people are using two hook set up mostly with bamboo ples and 1:1 bong reels....
This is precisely what I perfer when it comes to fish under 2kgs, and it is the primary method that people use here at my place,i,e Sarenga, Bankura,w.b.
This is fast, easy and effective.
Plz tell me is that the mainstrem method there or this pond only does not allow jhuppies???

Hi Bapi,

Please let us know about the success. Because the cost of ticket was very high - Rs. 3000.

Also, I heard that Jhoopies were not allowed there. Only single hook set up was permit-able. Please let us know because we are also planning to wet the net there.

Sounds real good. One hook set up and fishing near the margins... About 30 ft from the bank.. Wow .. Pretty good competition, I would say..
Plz sare the results and pictures.. videos would be great..
Waiting to see how folks are doing there..

I am against the use of jhuppies.. .
Besides One hook is good enough to land fish if you are an angler and not merely a fisherman.☺

Dear,
"SUNNYDL008"
Bad news for u, on 20/07/2013 sunday sagar dighi committee used some chemical/medicine before the day of fishing i heard that, my colleague brother-in-law house is side of sagar dighi he says very violence created for fishing in sagar dighi because no one fish take the hook bait beginning 6.00am to 12.00pm the anglers created violence, water color of the dighi is unnatural green. so, the committee decided to close the fishing competition.
and return the money of the pass.
Sagar dighi fishing result is not good there so many small fishes 50gm to 100 gm big fish not so many. in 1st ticket one angler hooked a catla about 10kg to 12 kg but he can't landed it.

If the water colour is green then it could be the poultry food/chicken fedd... U know.
Here also this happens. Its a staple food used by the commercial fisheries...
Once its thrown in ..and given plenty, no fish is going to take bait...because their bellies will be full already by the time we chuck in our hook bait.
