Just Few pictures of a nice male salmon that I caught last week..That day caught 3 salmon in total. The biggest one was around 31Lbs and this one 26Lbs.
I used a 12 foot 4-8 lb rated spinning rod(okuma float) with a Shimano 4000 reel spololed on a 10 lb main line and tied to a leader of 8lbs and a hook size of 8 .The bait I used was Salmon eggs tied in a small sack.
It took me nearly 25 minutes to land this fish.
This is a fast flowing river and salmon can be caught with a float setup. The details of the setup are represented here:

The male is identified by the Canine teeth that the Salmon has..

When caught a lot of these males discharge semen like a grade 8 virgin..LOL..Don't ask me why..LOL

Similar setup can be used for catching carp, trout or any fish in a fast flowing stream/river.Appropriate float has to be choosen for this kind of fishing.
At the same time long and light rods have to be used for fishing rivers or streams (minimum length of 10 foot). The longer the rod the better chances of fighting a fish and not loosing it.
