Ulygun,

Beautiful pictures and a good spread of species.

I like the 4th picture from the top, the rainbow trout in the net looks like a new species of trout with the crisscross pattern shadow thrown by the net on its body .... I was unsure for a moment as to the type of fish!

Presumably this is lower down in the States as the northern states and Canada are still cold and it is still not quite springtime there?

Lastly, did the trout and bass come from the same waters?

Regards,
Kingfish

@King, thanks for the kind words. I didn't realize the shadow effect on the bow, good observation. Yes, this will be Texas and it's summer here since past couple of weeks. Been raining/thunderstorm consistently during the weekends and not a whole lot of angling outings. But planning to hit the bay for some saltwater time soon.

The bass come from a storm drain by my house and the bows come from Guadalupe river below the dam. The tail-water is stocked with trophy trout during the winter by a local TU chapter. Some make it through the summer into the next season, given enough flow during the winter and also partly due to very strict catch and release practiced by many fly anglers. This year was special as some browns were stocked after 12 or so many years. This river also has a sizeable number of small mouth, common carp, striped bass, Texas fish "Guadalupe Bass", LM Bass, red-horse sucker, and sunfish.

@h_venky, thanks man.

@lure_f, I'm not sure why. The links come from my FB album with image location hyperlink. I checked after logged out of FB and they would still show up on this page. Might be it is your office network blocking external pics.

Some nice looking trout. Good job catching them on the fly!!
I have had good luck this year with trout in Pennsylvania. But all on spinning gear, using trout magnets, small lures, and powerbait.

That powerbait right there is cheating buddy.... LOL Just kidding!
Can you please post a few pics of the trout and your salt water catches here.
Miss hearing those smallmouth bass fishing report from you from when you used to live in Pittsburgh.

@Binu, hey if it works for you, then go for it. Some really nice trout streams up there in Penn. Someday I will get the permission from the "MRS" to go spend a weekend. Hopefully target some late spring and or early fall. Nice places to camp and some federal access as well from what I here. I've been watching tons of trout videos and seen some monster browns caught from ankle deep water over there.

I'm glad you get to fish over there. Post some pics, what's the point in fishing if you don't get to brag, eh?

Cheers.......

Cool, let me know if you come over to PA sometime. I was in some state game lands the other weekend, and saw some small streams which were supposed to hold some native brook trout.
