Hey Anand!I am planning to throw spoons(twisty spoons not jigs) from the rocks.Won't the jig get stuck in the rocks if i use them?I have caught breams ,queenfish and a small barracuda from the spot on cut bait .Here is the pic of the place and my earlier report. http://www.indianangler.com/viewtopic.p ... ght=#55136 . Just wanna know if anyone has had any experience with the streaker since its a relatively new lure on the market i think..

twist spoons is better for long cast and best for Trevally and Cuda... I'm too fishing from shore only it won't get snag i come to surface while retrieving. Steakers is better than twist but i dint use it yet... Hope u get many tight lines enjoy well:)..

jigs may not get stuck in the rocks, but they will not server the purpose either. also using a spoon with a treble is better when u cast from shore (IMO)

Good luck with the trip

@Rjm

Thanks for your pm, I was about to write on this subject anyhow.

The Streaker differs from the Twisty in shape and has a hole in its body,
the purpose of which is to leave a strong bubble trail in the water .This, combined with the flash from the chrome body of the
Streaker, is meant to attract the fish.

The Twisty has a unique body shape that is curved at both ends which helps it to have a fish attracting
action, especially at lower retrieval speeds.

It also comes in several colours (silver, gold and a grey/black mirro finish) so that it
gives you more options for a dull day or a bright day.

The Twisty can also be jigged quite effectively for fishing on the
bottom, although I have not used it in this fashion.

It also comes in weights that are heavier (and lighter) than the Streaker, enabling it to
be cast further if necessary from the shore or the lighter weights going down to 1.5 gms to be used on wary fish ( trout).

I have personally found the Twisty 40 gm size to be the most effective and versatile lure
for general use (using various sized Twisties, I have caught tuna, trevally, tailor and queenfish in the ocean and trout in the freshwater!). I probably have at least several dozen of them in various sizes and colours......whereas I may have only a few Streakers that have
rarely been used.

The Aussie anglers also seem to predominantly use Twisties, rather than the
Streaker, in their day to day angling.

Therefore, I lean towards the Twisty but would suggest that you get a
couple of the Streakers as well to add variety to your lures.

By the way, the Streaker has been around for quite a while now and is by no means a new offering from Halco.

Hope this helps.
