i have read many post in this forum on bait and ground bait.. there is lot of spices like jaifol, javatri, kangla, ghorboj, akanki lata, jata, etc. etc.. thanks to those angler who share there recipe...
but i can not find a spice named "tambul" which any angler use in bait or ground bait...
is there any specific reason for not using tambul on bait and ground bait????

Tambul is a literary word in Sanskrit. Its meaning is Betel or Pan. Well I can't say anything specific or deny about it which some friends are saying that its a fishing bait. May be fish likes pan during idle time.... :D

Its a spice specially used in cooking in goanese recipe. Its look like golmorich and has a pungent sweet smell. Many anglers use this heating slightly and then grinding finely. As it has a pungent smell use slight amount. Its a good attactant for rohu.
