Don't know your location, so...
You can do it yourself,
Disassemble it and paint the outer part.
For disassemble go through following link

https://www.google.co.in/search?q=abu+a ... isassembly

Of course, but you may not get best results. For better results you may ask metal painter like car dent painter.

https://www.google.co.in/search?client= ... +bangalore

Notice. Make sure you can disassemble and reassemble it. You may not be able to find any assistance for reassembling.
If you are willing to disassemble then click images on your cell phone at every step that you may get help on reassemble.
Take extra care, missing any part you may lose whole unit.

To do it at home, you can buy a spray paint can and give a try.
Getting the exact color can be a problem. If you are doing spray painting first time, I would strongly advice you to learn spray painting or some spare sheet metal before you do it on the reel. The reason is if you spray a little more paint may run down or it can form blotches. It needs practice...

Are you planning to paint over the existing paint or scratch the old paint and put a new one?
If your are planning to put a completely new one, you need to sand the metal surface, put a new primer and then paint. I have done it on my Penn Spinfisher 850 ssm.

If you don't want to mess up the other easy option is to talk to a automobile painting shop nearby.

Regards,
H.Venkatesan.

Hi Venkatesan,

Thanks for your inputs;
I will first talk to to the automobile guys , That would be safer.
As I do not want to spoil my abu logo on reel. :)

Thanks
