With two reports on the BBC of major polution stores from India within a week, things are not looking good.

The only glimmer of hope seems to be that the second report indicates that at least some environmental protection is being phased in.

As Ken mentioned, todays news on the telly NDTV also confirms a major fish kill at Guwahati on the river Bhramaputra. Pollution strikes again! Strange thing was that the fish were swimming straight into the banks. Can you imagine the state of the water if even the fish want out!

Hi concerned anglers,

Talking of pollution ..... Sundar, the Resident Manager at Bheemeshwari, once again mentioned his concerns about fish with white patches in the stretch of the Cauvery downstream of Sangam. Can someone contact the Pollution Control Board in Bangalore and request them to collect river water samples from Doddamakli, Bheemeshwari, Galibore and Sangam and have them analysed?
