Does anyone know what is happening with the planned Neutrino Observatory project at Mudumalai?
I would hope it has been shelved so that a proper Environmental Impact Assessment can be carried out instead of the halfhearted bodge job that was done initially. Anglers in the area should be working to oppose the project, I think.

It would be a shame if the Moyar river became horribly choked with spoil from the works from an anglers point of view. From a wildlife perspective, having to survive with water from the river, what chance do they stand?

This project has been stopped by the Minister of Forests and Environment. Most newspapers carried this report.
