It is still too cold in Kuwait to fish, But some nerd decided that it was going to be a warm day. we left for Khairan early at 8am. Got there at 9am and hit the water. It was still cold and an incoming tide. We caught all the small ones on prawn bait. As the water was too cold to fish in we decided to continue after lunch. It was an out going tide and the water was warmer so I decided to give my Okuma fly rod a whipping lesson. The 3 larger fish were caught on a fly. Prawn bait got us some more little ones, released to the bounty. After losing 2 flies due the larger fish (Higher then my rod/reel/line/tippet capacity) I decided to wind up. Thats all folks.

Nothing to beat fresh fish on the BBQ. Sadly alcohol is illegal here so....

Note to fellow fly fishermen. While I was fighting the fish, it was less then 8 feet away when the tippet broke from the knot. I got a nasty whip of the fly line on my face. My eyes were saved by the glasses. Take care.
