hi guys,

while trying my luck in float fishing which i hardly do nowadays got this giant mirgal of 8 kgs. this fish gave a excellent fight of around 45 minutes in which i kneeled down to respect this fish. A truly terrific experience it was

bait used : green moss
line: .30 MM
rod: telescopic berkley
setup: zero balance

i have seen people taking out mirgal of around 12 kgs.

thanks all for ur kind comments
@doc..green moss or string like moss is easy to find in winter season in shallow flowing water. it should be soft if u r targetting carps like rohu mirgal and yes it works well in flowing water where the current is slow.
setup is very simple zero balance...hook is tied 5 to 6 ft below a big feather float with a sufficient amount of weight added.
tying green moss is an art....u have to wrap moss in such a manner that it should not come out while casting.
