I prefer using plain wheat flour dough with some peanut oil. However it’s in a lake where ground baiting is not used at all. :D

I would like to thank fellow anglers like “biltu308” and “SubhadipHalder” for sharing their recipe.

As for this debate on juppi verses two hooks. I think the same recipe can be used in a method feeder with one hook. It’s all about application and enlightment through sharing not shunning someone. I believe that why this forum was created in the first place.

Gavin , Doc, and Peter peace guys. Hey I may come down to Kolkata soon. I hope to catch you guys in better mood. :D

Regards,
Tathagata.

Post subject:  My fish recipees..........

i only share the basic recipes of laddu bait. but most important things are "Polao" & "Bakor" & "Panchui". i think these recipes are most important for laddu bait and give a unique smell to ur bait. if u can made these u use... but nobody share there main recipes....

and one thing...... choose 1 hook or 2 hook or even 8-10 hooks..... first think which bait u use & which hook or hooks is necessary for ur bait.....

and yes... where u fishing if all use laddubait then u must use Laddu....(jhoopies) .....

Post subject:  Jim corbett

Remember, Jim Corbett was a hunter before he became a conservationist. Everyone has to pass through that curve. Alibhai's bam ka gola has two hooks but when one gentleman pointed out the hazards of two hooks, Alibhai was gracious enough to make changes in his rig. For every responsible angler there are a hundred who don't care. Besides, angling is still a violent way to catch fish. The fish will still be distressed. And a distressed fish can attract predators, parasites and infection like a magnet. And these can do serious damage to a fish in no time at all. But of course, there are many who survive. Look at smoking, we all know it kills, how many know its hazards and give it up? We responsible anglers are answerable only to our conscience, not any forums or groups. We can only spread the message of peace,we cannot enforce it. Let the world fish with their jhuppies, we will stick to responsible methods and constantly course correct ourselves on the way.

What a question man...... [smilie=dj-wtf.gif]

Check your local fishing tackle shop.... [smilie=kiss_it.gif]

If not then check some MANGO tree.... cos most of the ants build their nest on top of the tree... [smilie=pimp.gif]

neil makes a first class point, because your grandfathers took the big ones home only the little ones are left....
and if you take the little ones home what will be left for OUR children..
i can understand men fishing for food, but all to soon your pot is full and the lake is empty... then what do you eat?...
some fishers lay a long line of baited hooks and catch some fish, and good luck to them but if they did it in your lake what would you think...
if we are to be anglers then we should use a rod with a soft flex and light lines.. i can land an 18 pound fish on four pound line, why? because i'm an angler and i play the fish, allowing my rod to do that what it was designed to do... with four pound line i can cast three ounce feeder 50 meters, if you need to cast further then fish from the other side [lol]
some of us are anglers and some are fishers...
a fisherman NEEDS fish for food
an angler pits his wits and craft against nature
neither is a better man than the other... but the angler always goes home happy
the fisherman has too often to call at the fishmarket before he can go home

What kind of shops sell Ant eggs or termite eggs? Where can I get some?

Author:  Arefin [ Sun Oct 12, 2014 11:39 am ]

Hi Rocky moln,
Check your local chari/ground bait shops for Ant eggs or Termite eggs. Don't take it if is stored in freezer. You can also try to collect personally from trees (mango) where ant nests are mostly found. Other wise use dipping materials instead of Ant eggs or Termite eggs.

Arefin.

What are the dipping materials?? I am not sure if there is a ground bait shop in my native town..Other than ground bait shops, does anyone else sell these eggs for any purpose??

Author:  Arefin [ Mon Oct 13, 2014 9:47 am ]
Post subject:

Rocky Moin,
So far i know red ant eggs are only used for fishing, so no one but the charai shops are selling it. It is not the most essential for fishing because fishes also takes hook baits with out containing ant eggs. By the way dipping materials are mostly liquid in nature and hook baits are dipped in them before casting to get more attraction. Usually used dipping materials are honey, molasses, sugar syrup, ghee, rotten coconut, coconut oil etc.

Arefin

Post subject:  Re: Best Bait For Katla (Beat all Fishermans)

The best bait for Katla is dry bait (Dry tope as we call in Bengal) made from a mixture of dry coconut dust, A bit of Suji, coconut oil, mixed with rice polao, sweets and a mixture of scented dry rice dust mixed in alachi. Add a bit of Ghee and mix properly. While preparing the laddu put some ant eggs inside it . Hold the hooks(a set of six to eight katas) properly while making the laddus. Can give a touch of a choice and your bait is ready

Dear Sir,

Can you tell me the bengali name of 1)Nagarmotha, 2)Kakuli (3) Kure. I want to add this with my Char (ground bait|). For which fish it is effective most. Is Choto Methi & Buchki effective for Katla ?

Regards
