I stay in Vadodara. Vadodara has quit a few lakes inside the municipal area. But most of them are not maintained well and not suitable for angling. But there are a few water bodies within 30-40 kms around Vadodara which are interesting. I have tried few of them and they dont leave you alas !!!

I dont know anybody from Vadodara who are Anglers and is willing to explore more.

I invite those peoples who are really interested to join and comment in this space.

Finally I thank the moderators of this site to create and maintain such a platform.

Hey Samrat,

Try fishing on these lakes on your own and once you posts a few pics here, there will be a line of people wanting to fish with you..

If this doesnt happen, give me a holler

One fruitful weekend !!!

Image

The mighty Rohu really gave a tough fight... I don't have a weigh scale but it was surely more than 10 kilos...

Was released back successfully after photo session !!!

Image

It was really a scary fish... It was making serious sound after landing. Was a tricky operation to handle.

The fin bones were so sturdy that it can easily pierce the human flesh !!! But the fish was a ultimate beauty !!!

Caught it on a shrimp... :D :D :D

Thats some fantastic fish there, especially the rohu.. Great colour and the belly shows she was carrying eggs..

I wont be surprised if you have already started getting calls to go fishing with you..
If nothing, will get myself a ticket and come and wet a line with you

Tight Lines,
GRC

Thank you folks for sharing the fish ID.
Understood it's either "Sperata Aor" or a related fish.
