Welcome to Indian angler. Try amazon.in for books. If you are ok with softcopy buy kindle version.
You don't need a Kindle for that. You can download an app from amazon and use your smartphone/laptop to read.

If you could tell us the kind of fishing you are interested (fresh water/Saltwater / shore fishing), we would be able to suggest better.

Hi Asif,
Its always good to read the good angling books for improving your angling. In some books many angling related things are explained nicely. From such books you will understand what to do, when to do, how to do and why to do things regarding angling for better result. Try to get "Tank Angling in India" by H S Thomas, you will understand this sport in better ways. Its a rare collection and I also don't have it. But an old and experienced angler have mentioned some topics written in this book. Hearing them I am in love with this book and trying to collect that.
with regards,
Arefin

Hi Asif
Welcome to the forum.
There are a few books to choose from on Indian angling; 'Tank Angling' mentioned above by Arefin is on of the better ones (reprint have come and gone - you might still be lucky, but I have an ebook).
I generally search on google for various combinations of key words from title and authors name and a surprising number come up. Quite a few of these books are old enough to be out of copyright by now so many are free downloads.
Other books of interest could be:
'Circumventing the mahseer' A. St. Macdonald (1948) BNHS but a recent reprint is available from Gyan books
'The mighty mahseer' Skene Dhu (1903) There are reprints on this.
'Wet fly fishing in Kashmir' (1930) Pardesi
'The compleat Indian angler' (1938) J. Masters (Natraj of Dehra Dun did a reprint)
'The angler in northern India' Skene Dhu (1910)
'Sunlit Waters' C.W.W.Conway (1942) another reprint by Natraj on this one
'North Punjab fishing club handbook' GH Lacey (I've only ever found an ebook on this but it was free)
'The Angler in India' Skene Dhu. A slightly later edition, combining part of his 2 earlier works mentioned above but with additions. Another Natraj reprint on this.
'Angling in the Kumaon Lakes' W.Walker (1888). I found another free ebook of this.
'Trout fishing in Kashmir' (1920). Alban Wilson - I have yet to locate any copy of this book.
Hope that is of some use, but they all go back some time!
For info 'Skene Dhu' is Cecil Lang
All the best
Druridge

PS I have no link to any of the above!

Thank You for all the information Druridge. I have been not active for a while. I have recently bought Sunlight Waters and its good to read. If you could mail me the soft copy of Circumventing the Mahseer by A. St. Macdonald would be really happy.

Thanks and Regards
Asif

Glad you enjoyed 'Sunlit Waters'. I've never managed to find an ebook of 'Circumventing the Mahseer', I got a reprint from Gyan books (in India). I found them via google after i searched the title and author. I bought a hardback which was very good value, most of my price was post & packing to UK. The book itself is a copy of an early/original edition. Some of the photographs hadnt copied very well but the text was fine. If you cant locate Gyan get back to me and I will try and find details when I'm next at home. I searched long & hard for an original copy, but they are extremely uncommon and priced accordingly!
All the best
Druridge
