Hi Friends,
I have a very old abu ambassadeur 7000 reel, the clicker is almost gone because of the
Spool Pinion Gear(plastic part in pic) part #8703 is worn.

If any one of you have a spare one by chance please let me know , I want to buy it.

thanks

I usually stock some spare parts for Abu, but I don't think I have that part.
I don't fish bait and hence the clicker doesn't wear out. Besides I don't use the clicker anyway.

Your best bet probably is e-bay in my opinion.
There are some tackle shops in the UK (on e-bay) that carry a lot of spare parts for Abu reels....

Good luck!

Thanks Maruthu,

I will try in ebay. I thought of trying first with forum anglers.

Hi,

There are many firms in USA that deal in reel spare parts
www.mikesreelrepairs.com
www.abelreels.com
www.erplacementparts.com

Try them

I personally do not recommend Mike's reel repair, unless you can't find the parts elsewhere.
They are in Canada and I have ordered (shipped to the USA) a couple of times from them and it was very slow.

Since Abu parts are common, you can get them elsewhere, but Mike's. Not sure about the others though.

I have 13 Abu conventional reels and buy parts/upgrades pretty often.
If you are ordering from the US, then I suggest that you contact Jerry Foran (from Hookless)

Hope that helps....

Hey, are you located in Bangalore?

If so, we could take our conventionals out for a spin sometime....
