Hi Friends,

Can you guys please suggest which rigs are good for shore based ray fishing.

Rimpo,

I do not fish for rays as I use lures only.

However, a quick look by using Google search on " How to catch Rays" immediately brought up several sites giving information on the rigs to be used and the bait needed.

Perhaps you may wish to check there ?

I don't fish for rays either.

However, if I did, I'd keep the bait hanging low on the rig without feeling the resistance of the sinker.
Something like a fish finder rig. But, I don't know anything about catching rays like I already mentioned.

Hi,
Having caught more than 50 Sting rays & Guitar fish, in my opinion , the best rig is a Fish Finder rig with a 3/0 Octopus (4X) hook with dead bait. Easier to release the ray also.
